Radio Free Clear Light is a creative entity composed of two core individuals: Juan Carlos Mendizabal and Lydia Harari.
Drawing on 20th century avant-garde methods, RFCL applies a process-oriented approach to all of their creative works, relying heavily on collaboration and technology as an integral part of any process they adopt.
Devoted to exploring the subjective, participatory dimensions of art, music and literature, their tools include the open-ended use of digital technology, perceiving the extraordinary in “ordinary” environments, and experimenting with spontaneous, improvisational, emergent creativity.
Every piece or project is treated as an experiment, or a game, with rules of play established at the onset. In this way, attention is reserved for the moment of creation rather than directed toward a final desired outcome. Under these conditions, form outweighs content and limitations spark extreme creativity.
