Lauren Howes is a recent business graduate of San Francisco State. Her background is in Marketing, but she loves to dabble in digital photography for fun. Lauren loves to take photographs of seemingly normal locations – of homes, cars, or scenes that one would pass by everyday. She tries to capture the desolation of a place, quiet moments, where everything seems still. New Topographic landscapes feature heavily in her work. When there has to be people in a photograph, Lauren tend to shoot them from far away or when their back is turned. The intention lends to the stillness aspect of her photography and helps to depersonalize it in a way that anyone can fill in or add their own story.
