Pamela Harris grew up in Texas in the early 1960’s, and moved to California in the late 60’s with the Civil Rights Movement in full swing.
Pamela developed different skills and techniques through years of painting, it created an identity and freedom of expression for her. She hopes to relay to others that there are ways to escape daily rituals, and to have the time to relax and appreciate nature’s true beauty through her artwork
Pamela enjoys abstract expressionism, where she focuses on movement in nature, the environment that surrounds her, and shapes and colors. Combinations of medium are amalgamated in her work – oils, latex paints, charcoal and inks. She is very interested in how the materials work with one another to capture the rhythms and textures that results in beautiful discoveries.
