Rita Poutivskaia was born in Russia in a small town on the outskirts of Moscow. In 2000, she moved to California with her family.
Rita graduated from Laguna College of Art and Design in May of 2011, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. Since then, she moved back to the Bay Area to pursue her career. Her dreams of living in San Francisco finally came true in November of 2012 and she has been showing in the city since.
Her style is bold, colorful and playful. She works traditionally as well as digitally. Rita is constantly inspired by the world of children and their innocence. She loves painting and designing for kids and hopes to some day publish a children’s book. Some of her favorite media to work in is ink and watercolor.
