Leah Korican was born in Berkeley, California and lives in Oakland, California. She has lived in all around the world including Cave Junction, Oregon and Florence, Italy. Leah has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work has been exhibited nationally including the Richmond Art Center, the Bedford Gallery and the Triton Museum. She has completed commissions including permanent artworks for Kehilla Community Synagogue and Rumsey Engineers in Oakland. Poetry is another of her creative pursuits and she has published and read her poems, most recently in Canary-A literary journal of the Environmental Crisis. She teaches art at the Bentley School in Oakland.
